Dealer Changed Cars Settings - New Remap?

Post by Neild » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:20 pm

Pete,

Dealer today changed some settings and updated some info on my standard car map - If I put the remap back on, will this wipe what they have modified on the car?.

If so, can I send you this file and you modify it to suit?

Thanks

Neild

Has it gone slow now?

Did you remove the map before going into the dealer? If you did I think it's easier to update.

Mark,

Yes, removed the map incase they need to update anything (dealer knows its on there so no worries on that front).

HI
If you try and re apply the mapping and the dealer has done a update the bas tool will tell you that its not compatable any more.
In which case the interface needs erasing and a new read from the ecu doing so i can create a new file.

A couple of things to always remember and do.

Before a dealver visits ALWAYS return the car to original.
After you get the car back, always try and re apply the tune before eraseing the box.

Pete
