This is the older BV - its not bad at all, but if you want to actually use it to record off road days, then the HD one is better.

Re: In car video recorder.
Recently bought a one from szswill.com. Pretty impressed with it. Only two complaints, minor ones. to get it down the center line of the car, behind the mirror, I had to mount it upside down. Whilst the software that comes with it can flip the video, all info (ie speed, gps, time) that is stamped onto the video ends up upside down. Also, the adjustments for the sensitivy of the "crash sensors" is a little off, turned all the way down, certain bumps in the road still triggers it.
Overall though the video quality is pretty good, I mainly bought it for recording 4wding trips. Boring random video here. (still uploading, will attach when done...)

Re: In car video recorder.
Welcome to the D3 club telus. Why did you have to mount the BV upside down?, I don't think any one else had to do.!!!!!
I love the map function on the BV as well.

Re: In car video recorder.
Hi sorry if it's a stupid question but how to you power the camera if they are behind the mirror?

Re: In car video recorder.
Run the cable behind the head lining and A-pillar trim down in to the passenger footwell. Then feed via a piggy-back fuse off the fuse-board
