Hampshire spectacular write up and photos/video

Post by CDS » Mon May 13, 2013 10:31 am

As per everybody else's comments - a great weekend that was well organised by all involved - a big thanks to those that put in the hard work, I'm not going to list them cos I'm bound to miss somebody off!! But thanks to you all.

It was a fun and eventful weekend, an interesting end with the horse incident (thanks to Hobgoblin for the horse tip 12 months ago, ie treat them like a loyal dog and they will respond positively! - I know nowt about horses and ended up walking the second riders horse up the lane away from the vehicles whilst they were backing out of the lane)
Alas my blackview hadn't been plugged in properly since god knows when and didn't record anything :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: (Sorry Clare!)

The day's laning was made that little bit more entertaining for adults and kids alike with the treasure hunt :thumbright: For me the funniest part was the strange looks I got when I asked at a stables if I could stand on their tractor for a picture - they clearly thought I was a little deranged

The only D3 issue we had was water coming in around th passenger door after my epic fail in the water hole - probably sat there for 5-10mins waiting for Bodsy to sort out and winch us out (thank you Bodsy!) just as the front wheel came out Graham got wet feet  there still doesn't seem to be a logical explanation for the water ingress....... all seals seem intact and in good shape...... all very odd.... but everything seems to be running as it should in any case.

We finally got back to the ranch at 10pm last night - lovely to sleep in my nice warm bed and thankfully not a train to be heard

We didn't take many Pics, but here's a few:

Yeah thought it was about time. I general judge it on the number of holes it has 10 is ok 12 is borderline 15 means automatic replacement.

Thanks Neil!

Well just to echo what others have said WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND :D

Thanks to all who organised the event and to those who attended and made the it memorable :thumbright:

Special thanks to Stu and family and to the 2 chefs :thumbright:

Sorry we had to abandon the camping bit due to very poorly made tent  We had to suffer staying at a pub on Sat night

Hoping that this event runs again, as the long drive down and back was definitely worth it.

well I didn't take too many pics but those that I have I have thrown in with some video I shot at Slindon

Sorry its not great but gives you an idea of what we all got up to

Great pics guys - looks like you had fun!
MrClayton wrote:... the cruise control suddenly stopped working somewhere north of Warwick. It was on and set but then just dropped off. Earlier in the journey I had remarked to Clare that there was an instance when the cruise control didn't seem to be maintaining speed. After it stopped completely pressing any of the cruise buttons did nothing but we hadn't turned it off and on again by the time we got home to find out if that would fix it ...
That sounds like a porous hose - the same happened to a P38 I owned a few years back. Check all the hoses between the pump, the actuator and the brake pedal. ;)
