She's been baking again!
Well It's been a baking weekend in our house. Vic made a Birthday cake for Hermione and then helped Harry to make the Solar System out of cakes for her science project!

Even got the asteroid belt in, very impressive. However, Keupier Belt & Oort Cloud is missing. More opertunity for nice scoff.

Cliff: As it's a gas giant (in more ways than one) would be well dodgy.

The Solar System is massive (I know I know it is) but the photo doesn't do it justice. The word Solar System is A4 size. The sun and Jupiter are both 12" round! I did say that the sun should be a lot bigger, but apparently we didn't have enough icing!

I wouldn't worry about the asteroid belt - it's Stu's belt I'm worried about - that poor thing must be near breaking point...
But very impressive baking - send me a slice or three up!

Re: She's been baking again!
In one of my 1st year geology lectures we did mock up the solar system using a grapefruit as the sun. ISTR Jupiter was out in the back of the lecture theatre and represented by a 20p coin, outer planets were in the park somewhere. I can't remember what size Earth was but it was pretty titchy. Not good for scrummy cakes though.
