Trip around Europe..

Post by Nickdisco » Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:40 pm

Decided to do a trip round Europe for Christmas. Never driven over there besides Greece and Romania (Hire Cars) and only just managed 1000 miles between both countries over 6 days.

This time was different, it was supposed to be a mix between camping and hotels/bnbs as with us having a small one and it being winter we needed to be prepared.

Total mileage in the end was 2800 give or take, and fuel bill between 8/900. Had the dreaded TC judder and rev fluctuation as we entered Germany but it soldiered on and got us home, not bad for 170k, 1 megaflush at 130k and DR tranny at 150, also alive remapped at 130k.

Anyway, countries visited.. Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, France and home! Attached should be photos!

The highest point was on the Arlberg pass in Austria, a wonderful 6050FT above sea level according to the D4 Satnav GPS

He was good, tipi was fine, just awkward trying to get him to sleep in his own sleeping bag on his own camp bed (he's still only 2.5) but other than that, he was a lot better than I imagined.

During the trip we put a tablet holder on my headrest with a galaxy tablet full of abc, colours, shapes, numbers, language games, including some interactive ones where he has to fix cars! Didn't see any LRs on it though
