Post by brummiedeano » Fri Apr 28, 2017 6:11 pm

Just returned from doing the North Coast 500 trip in Scotland ... and what an epic trip it is ... superb scenery and we had some fun in the snow too : )

It would make a great club road trip :thumbright:

That looks great. Might have to add that trip to my list.

Did the Honda Civic manage to keep ?

Camping is the best way to do it Ben ... be that sleeping in the car or tents :thumbright:

No midges when we went ... too early in the year for them

Yep the Honda Civic photobombed us

I'd definitely do another trip up there ... but probably miss John O'Groats as apart from saying you've been there and pics by the sign there's not much else around that area worth seeing.

I did part of that route (Braemar Junction (Corrieshalloch Gorge) to Poolewe and return) a couple of months ago in a works wagon - those Highland roads are 'interesting' in one of these!!

Would be a nice Road Trip in something smaller!!

A mate of mine has been doing a tour of the west coast and islands and the pictures he's been posting look absolutely stunning. I do love Scotland - just not the midges.
