Are we having a sneaky SAM tomorrow, 13th?
Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

Hopefully so!
Don't think I'm going to make it back in time.. Maybe a coffee.

Re: S.A.M. Meeting (South Area Meet Pub)
Twas a bit compact and bijou Mostin, as there were just me Trvor and Nick, but a great night none the less
I had a scare on the way down, car felt like someone had put a stick in the spokes three times, the last time violently enough to pitch me forwards and set a transmission fault and the Christmas tree of despair on the dash. F in the gear window didn't go away after a lkey out lock/unlock. Engine was running sweet as ever, so thankfully no issues there, but am still very concerned what could possibly make a car feel like the wheels momentarily stopped then restarted turning again. Equally frustrating was that IID found no faults in anything other than the FBH and the trailer lights (I wired a new socket and used a load resister on one pin at a time so the faults were fair enough). How can the dash have a Christmas fit and F in the gear display yet have no logged codes.
I got rid of the F with an IID vehicle reset, after which the car ran brilliantly whilst I drove like stairway to heaven - starting calm and gentle and working slowly to Italian tuneup over the next 12 miles. And it ran much quieter than before it faulted throughout. I just don't understand!
Trip home was at national limits, and in spite of blustery headwinds, got 31mpg and no further hint of the issue.
Confused!

Re: S.A.M. Meeting (South Area Meet Pub)
Nothing to do with the towing electrics you've fitted? Not the car trying to correct a trailer wobble that doesn't exist?
