Some of you may have felt your switches are getting tired, or that you want to update them to the 2012 switches (just because you can!) or that you have kids that have hung on to them once too often!

Well, here's the how to!

How to :- Change your Wash Wipe and Indicator stalk from old style Pre 08 to new style 2012

Flip the Steering wheel adjustment lock down and pull the steering wheel forward as far as possible.
Expose 3 x Torx 25 screws as per the picture. Using a Torx 25 (T25) but, undo these completely.

Gently prise the upper cowling apart. Use a plastic spatula or similar to avoid marking the plastic.

Remove the top of the cowling.

Lower the bottom half of the cowling to expose the indicator stalk and windscreen wiper. You may need to release the lower steering wheel position lock.
Remove the 2 x Philips Screws and slide the Windscreen washer stalk out.

Disconnect the Green connector

Refitting is the reverse of the above.

For the indicator stalk, go to the other side of the steering wheel and again, undo the 2 x Philips screws and slide the whole unit out.

Disconnect the Black connector.

Fitting is the reverse of removal.
When fitting the cowling, make sure the tabs are not bent over.

Enjoy your new updated Wash/wipe and Indicator switches.

None!

I thought that all D3's had adjustable steering wheels?

This is a different angle of mine.

I saw a piano black steering wheel on the web earlier, looked really nice but for £240 I don't think I'll bother

Sorry guys  , Pumba has it right, set in the memory along with the seat, mirrors and reverse mirror settings and it adjusts itself, even moves out of the way for the 'Easy access' setting :shark:
