Weather here in Essex more Autumnal than July - wet, windy and chilly. Hope you lot are all surviving and having a great time despite the weather :thumbright:

Well, what a wonderful day we had at Fairford yesterday. Jane and I were reminded of the early days of how Fairford used to be before the ElfenSanity dwarves took control. Aircraft were once again almost close enough to touch and once again we were able to centre our visit round the car for picnic/rests/bacon butties/rain avoidance and socialisation. Compared to the last time we visited Fairford on the other side of the fence, the ratio of people to toilet facilities was also way way better. I felt very sorry for the people who had stumped up £100 to sit in an unprotected stand in the pouring rain half a mile away from all the action. Ok, more than a bit smug too

Stu, thanks for sharing your pot of gold viewing location - utter magic, we'll be back with more family next year!

Well I'm back from this fantastic weekend now and got kit dried out already. Unbeatable viewing location and can still hear the roar of those fighter jets ringing in my ears

Sat morning was pretty dismal but the sun broke out almost exactly as fairford predicted and we had some great displays from those fly boys, and great company too from all those in attendance. Here's a few of my pics :

two observations about pic #3:

1) Is reggieb picking his nose...?

2) I think I'm too close to ordering a foxwing
