The chinook display was utterly amazing, and based on the depth/volume of the chop noise from the rotors in spite of the way that the pilot threw it around it wasn't even trying

In spite of my fondness for the Vulcan, they (understandably) don't throw her around like they used to, so my personal individual aircraft display favourites for Saturday were first the Chinook, and second the Saab - the way that was thrown around was also well impressive!

According to my mates they threw the Vulcan about a bit at Waddington, however they may have been winding me up coz I went to Wales instead of going to the show

Particularly like this shot for some reason.

It's unusual to see the historic flight without the Hurricane, apparently they requested a delay for it to arrive but were declined by control..... :o

I heard on the radio that because they were holding for so long, it ran low on fuel so had to drop in to Kemble to re-fill. And like you said Ian, then they wouldn't delay their display to wait for it
