Sidewall splitting

Has anyone had any issues with Hanhook tyres?
The tyres on our 2010 Fairway seem to have a radial split. There has always been a sort of radial sink that runs round the middle of the sidewall since new, but on one tyre this has now split open, it's not damage as the split edge is ragged and torn.

The first two pictures show the split the third the sink which is still present on the other tyre.

Any ideas ?

I wouldn't have expected to see that on tyres unless they've been run flat at some point in their lives. That's very unusual!

They were new OE fitment in March 2010 when we purchased the van, they have never run flat, and always inflated to to recommended pressure.

They both had a sink running in a ring round the tyre last year -see pic. , one of those rings has now fractured and looks to be separating from the tyre body.
