Re: Some interesting figures for Stu...
I just stick a tent in the car and drive off. No weight bridges etc and no photos of lunch!

All the creature comforts I need.
The only thing I don't have is a bog but that's because I'd rather not have to empty it out. Other than that I've got it all.

Re: Some interesting figures for Stu...
That's interesting - looks like I need to scrabble around under mine to check the figures (maker's plate states 1,600Kg, giving a 235Kg payload) ... whereabouts are these 'stamped figures''?mzplcg wrote:... weight plate the caravan maker puts on means Jack Schitt. It's the weight that the chassis maker stamps on it, usually on the axle tube(s).
E.G. Our Coachman van has a makers weight plate of max 1900kg which is actually an upgrade we had to purchase ... Checking on the axles they are 1000kg each, i.e. 2000kg, then add in the weight on the towball = 100kg so 2100kg all told. Tyres are 94 load index so 670kg each = 2680kg.
... Oh and I got this from VOSA on the M5 when he weighed us. They aren't interested in makers weight plates one bit.

If you have the AL-KO chassis it's on the axle tubes.
