SEASON OPENER
This is a bot of a spin off from the "Swanageish" thread.
I have found a nice camping & caravaning site in Cirencester.
We stayed there for 2 nights recently.
There is a 7 acre field with some hard standing pithces with hook up for us softies, some grass pitches with hook up for tenter & some with out for the tough nuts in the club.
It seems that thre is desire to have a Season Opening Camping weekend.
So, avoiding Bank Holidays, when do we think would be the best time?????
Who is up for this???????????????????
The toilet/shower block on this site is really good. The management are very helpful.
There is a small shop on site & they will charge batteries & freeze ice blocks for you as well.
Please consider the weather that might be availbale at the time despite what we order in adavance.
I am thinking May 2014 ish, so this will be "Cirencesterish 2014"
Cheers

Re: SEASON OPENER
Am I a qualifying member to stick my hand up for permission , or do I need the cloaking device on my ride
That aside, date dependant it would be rude not to.

Re: SEASON OPENER
All things being well, then this could be good - but one question, why not Bank Holidays - or is it cost etc?

Re: SEASON OPENER
Mark, the bit about Bank Holidays was at the suggestion of the site owners.
They are normally busier over bank holidays.
Lets see what others have to suggest?

Re: SEASON OPENER
Mid Feb, was well below zero this year Fine with our central heating, although not good for water activities
Are we thinking of some activities for the Sat & Sun daytime? If so, Cotswold water park is just up the road. There's jet-skiing, water skiing, sailing, canoeing etc If anyone wants some off-roading/punch challenge, I know a couple of landowners that could be willing to allow us access... What's the situation with arranging anything on private land?
