Suspension Fault

Post by Dave_Harris » Thu May 28, 2015 9:43 pm

So with my newfound powers, I've identified my new regular suspension fault.

Does anyone have any experience with this one? Sounds to me like I just need to give it a clean, but I'm not sure how accurate the faults are to the root cause?

It does sound like the vent could be blocked.

Yes, I used to get that, or something that read like that. A new AMK compressor cured it :thumbright:

Seeing as the tool to tell me this error cost nearly £400 I'll start with a spring clean and go from there :-)

Yep I used to get that. Took the old compressor apart. Got a load of bits. Bought a new compressor! Problem solved.

I think Ian (ReggieB) had a blocked exit port that eventually burst the pipe or fitting - it sounded like a very loud airbrake and used to scare old ladies

I'm struggling to get the last hose off the compressor.
Have I missed something and this is still under pressure, or am I just not giving it enough beans?

Dave, the live values on the IID will show the gallery pressure. Will that release ring not press down at all?

In fairness, there's enough mud there to believe that it's just mud under the release ring holding it in place. Try squirting high pressure water (garden hose or supersoaker 9000 not jetwash) at that join and see if you can soften the mud?

Gallery pressure was down at 150kpa before I started.
Can't get the release ring to move at all, but agree it could be mud.
I hoses everything before I started (you should of been it then!!), which in hindsight was a :censored: idea as it's obviously horrible to work with.
I'll give it another blast with the hose though
