Post by specs2002 » Sun Nov 05, 2023 7:42 pm

Hi guys new here I’m confused with my suspension so it’s had a brand new compressor and the reservoir valve next to it but when I start car compressor is on for 10seconds if that then shuts all my suspension heights and special programs off any help appreciated cheers does it every time I cancel and clear faults also

Sounds like a leak. The compressor runs I assume? Does the car keep its road height or drop to bump stops etc?

If it keeps it’s he light then it could be a sensor fault.

Do you have the 4x4 screen? That might give you some insight if you see flashing red on one wheel whilst starting up and trying to raise.

Code reader would really help.

This is one of the codes I’m getting also getting
Front left high sensor which had a new sensor
Also pressure does not decrease when venting gallery
The car drops on the front not completely tho drops every now and again but if I clear codes they come back instantly and shut everything off

You have a leak somewhere by the sounds of it - and valve blocks need either replacing or stripping and cleaning. Also worth checking the air tank for leaks.

Clear errors and see which come back, if it's the front left height sensor - see if you can either look at live data for sensor voltage or if not, get a multimeter and at least check voltage is OK at the plug....

Pin 1 (the wire on a row on its own) is ground
Pin 4 (closest to the Gnd Wire but on the row of pins with 2 wires) is the Sensing wire
Pin 5 (same row of pins as the sensor wire) should have 4.8ish v.

If the controller doesn't see a voltage on the sensing wire it will raise a permanent fault

Running at the start then erroring is normal to an extent (the vehicle may just be trying to level, so compressor on to up the gallery pressure, if it either doesn't raise the pressure in the gallery fast enough, or if the pressure doesn't drop as expected when the compressor stops it will raise a permanent fault code

Need to know which scenario your in, read the actual codes on the EAS or Vehicle Ride Height controller....
