We've joined the tint tent brigade

Post by MrsClayton » Wed May 15, 2013 6:54 pm

Just paid a deposit on a 2010 Sterling Eccles Elite Searcher. 7.9m twin axle 4 berth with rear bathroom, fixed bed and wet heating (apparently that's a good thing)

Pics to follow.:grin::grin:

It says "Elite 90" on the side so I'd guess that's what it means. We also looked at a Bessacar which was identical internally but different fabric and colours and we preferred this one. I have a friend who owns a caravan sales business and he's done us a deal we couldn't afford to turn down - excited now :-)

Looks a nice one - but two things - £34k is a lot of dough to then drive at Slindon or the lanes :shock:

And secondly, what the heck is a Lockable front centre differential :lol:

Thats what I thought and tbh I wouldn't take it any where near any where scratchy so that defeats the point, plus I do enjoy the bit of tinkering we've done to the D3 :)

Yes, a lot of dough especially when you factor in the tintent expenditure! I think we might look at a remap and some improved under body protection for the d3 for now and wait until my car needs renewing and see what the options are then.
