Re: Sankey Gourmet Kitchen Trailer Build
Morning All,
Here is an update on the sankey build,
As i have now finished fluting around in the back two sides of the trailer it was time to put the back body panel on, surprisingly enough it fitted perfectly and just slid into place with the aid of some silicone sealant and a few hundred rivets.
Other additions include the two rams to move the solar panel to where the sun is strongest and the mounting points and electrical connections for the external lights.
I made a start on the fridge slides as well and have nearly finished one of them but rain stopped play, i intend to give it another go today in between showers.
As usual the pictures are in the gallery.

Chris, weighing up my options on my Sankey No2, where did you source the truck panels, and roughly how much?
Not sure whether to go aluminium sides or do as you have done.

Re: Sankey Gourmet Kitchen Trailer Build
nearly finished now, i have been doing some testing, my solar tracking system works great the solar panel is charging the batteries really well for the last two days i have disconnected the 220v feed to the trailer and left all the electronics on and the two ARB fridges on and both set for 2deg. the battery voltage only drops to 12.3 volts in the middle of the night and soon as the sun comes up it starts climbing to 13.8v and sits there for the day, needless to say i am happy with that.

Re: Sankey Gourmet Kitchen Trailer Build
Friend of mine has solar panels in his backgarden to feed the house - his electric bill since January this year is £10.00, so I'm not surprised a full tracking system is working so well!
