Don't resort to a gas BBQ mate, you're already on the slippery slope, it'll be Country Music next

I don't mind a bit of twangyness. I never really know any specific artists. I did buy the Ward Thomas album a while ago.

Oh and we have Gas BBQ at home and I was sceptical but actually it's great, although I do normally put some wood chips on. Considering a Cadac for BBQ use.

Cadac and you're done. SWMBO intends to use only the cadac when we go away this summer!!
Our garden gas BBQ gave up this year and we now just use the cadac instead

Cadac is really good - I usually take ours on caravan trips and have the last couple of years to the Pyrenees and Poland. Not just for BBq, but anything really including veggies

Just concerned about the wind as I've heard they are guff in wind. I don't want to have to put up a wind breaker wall to use it.

Visited today and witnessed with my own eyes that Stu has now become a "caravanner".
Nice van and well kitted out too, feels huge inside. I can't see the tent coming back soon !!!!

Re: Can't believe I am posting in here
Sorry to disagree with some above but Cadac are poo. More than a wisp of breeze and you get a cold spot on the upwind side, no charcoal so no BBQ flavours. At best it's outdoor cooking and the only up side would be to keep cooking smells out of the van. Mind you, if you like pizza the pizza stone is good but other than that I wouldn't have another. Sold ours after very little use and bought a portable BBQ about the same size.
