You also have to disconnect everything and pack away before you can drive anywhere. We rented one in France and it was fun, but hard to find parking places.

May sound like a stupid question...but have you ever towed anything like this before :?: :?: ...just a thought..
Nope! Good spot mate! Can't be to difficult though... Going to find a nice empty space to practice reversing!

To be fair I find towing pretty easy, if you go slow when reversing it's not too bad.

Best not to practice on a campsite though :D

Andy, I was hoping you and Duncan would line up your vans next time so I could practice parking between them

Official plan of Fumanchu!! Decide over next few months which model, lots of looking round van stealerships and reading caravan mags. Then go to caravan show in Excel next Feb and haggle, haggle & more haggle! Prob wouldn't be using van till next spring due to other commitments so picking it up early spring would be great. As seen storage is expensive in Surrey and deffo no room on new gaff's drive, could park it on lawn in front of living room window though!! Hmmm, a plan is hatched!!

If only I could think of something useful to type here!! :(

August is the time to get a deal Derek as new model come out in October. Spring time is the WORST time as everyone will want one. Seriously you could save £3k easy on one now :thumbright:

Now is a good time to buy though, plenty of 2010 models will be sold off next month for when 2011 models arrive. Might be worth it if your not fussed about having latest model. You may even persuade a dealer to store it for you at their depot :thumbright: .

There is also general price rise and VAT increase (although probably only £3-400 difference) from January 2011.

Neils found a cheap place for his that has space.

Unfortunately no chance this Aug as no chance to use it, nowhere to keep it and minor matter of moving house & other commitments. Besides big dealers are 130 miles from home, not much available in the Heelands. :(

You will need to get an Engel Fridge... After all, the big fridge in the caravan will be full of beer, so need a seperate fridge for the milk. And dont forget the Sat TV and fit another onboard water tank :thumbright: the standard circa 45 litres wont be enough to wash your hair
