I agree with the mummy shape being warmer, but as I'm a spinning top when asleep I found that it was so clingy I would wake up from nightmares of being throttled :lol:

The silk liners are amazing; thoroughly recommend the single/double bed (not sleeping bag) versions for when travelling abroad, especially on the cheap; always nice to have a clean envelope to sleep in no matter how tired the bed/sheets are :thumbright:

You can but sleep pods now which are really big sleeping bags that allow you to move about. I bought one for Vic. I've not tried it so can't comment directly but she likes it but has only used it with a winter duvet on top and electric blanket underneath!

That's going to be a big and heavy bag, probably nice and warm but I wouldn't want to carry it anywhere.
