Not sure I would want two 18650 lithium batteries strapped to my head running something that pumps out (allegedly...) 5,000 Lm but only cost 25 dollarsPillowSmuggler wrote:Don't forget there's ugly but functional too:

Re: New Head Torch
I actually like that in a very odd way. I wouldn't want it but I thought no its kid of cool - no idea why though!

Re: New Head Torch
I know what you mean Stu, I feel the same unfathomable draw to it; you look at the photos and it's as cheap looking as the price suggests, but on the other hand it looks like a mini tactical binocular night vision headset...which I suppose it is although perhaps not as covert
I have a similarly crappy mini led torch I keep in my pocket; cost peanuts and the +/- labels on the li-ion battery are printed at the wrong ends but for under £10 all in it's been a top performer to be honest.

Re: New Head Torch
Also looking for a head torch as my H7 has died a death, the very thin filament cable to one end of the battery holders have come adrift. Battery leak wile ago prob didn't help. No slack an no means of soldering.
Looking at H7.2 for ~£35 or H7R.2 for ~£50, or old school H7 and P7.2 for £43. Hmmmmmmmmm, choices, choices.

Re: New Head Torch
People at work are now reporting poor quality cables on the H7.2R, but this is heavy industrial use, night after night.
Mine, which I mostly use on the Underground as I don't work nights, is holding up fine
