It's not just this site in my experience, and also the Google support channels are clogged with related complaints.
Ours is worse than most, but I'm wondering whether that's a phpbb version issue?
I seem to remember that Mark had to change the site a while back as there was an issue with the screen being redrawn correctly for one of the browsers after they updated or closed a security loophole...perhaps this is something similar.
I'll keep Go ogling, (I'm leaving that auto correction of Googling in as it's hilareous) as the biggest brains on the planet will be researching the issue by now.

Just out of interest. I installed Ad-Blocker plus on Clare's machine last night and the website played up the next time she used it. She says it hadn't played up before but the menu elements were disappearing until hovered over.

I've no evidence that there is a correlation at this point but it seemed like an odd coincidence. I've also got ABP installed and have seen similar anomalies.

Is this the error? This happens all the time with other frames based sites too.

There are sort of frames - the forum is within the outside top and side boarders - but it is all built on the fly by the phpBB software - unless you are on the home page or any of the other side menus (Pretty much) that aren't to do with the forum.

But no, it doesn't use the iframe code.

that all appears to be in an html table which is as old as the internet as a way of laying things out though - very strange!

I've just installed adblocker plus on the Mac, though have it set to show the ads - as it treats the banner ad as an ad- which it is!

All works ok on here - and I now have no ads in the middle of posts on Facebook, which has been P'ing be off right royally since it went public. :thumbright:

Chrome seems to be a bit better now - or at least it is for me.

One problem I have with Firefox is that it won't stay logged on between sessions - but is fine on chrome. - Other devices - like my works lappy, work fine on IE and remain logged in, but on Chrome is won't - go figure
