I'll try firefox on a few pcs and laptops at work tomorrow to see if I can recreate the error.

OffTopic - Invariably, I still get a page hang if I write a reply to a post then preview it before pressing post which is infuriating if it's a long reply.

Only solution is to copy my text, close the browser, open a new session, go back to the topic on the forum and then paste in what I've copied to clipboard

I'm getting it again now. Was ok.

Frankly I have no idea at the moment.

Looks like it is a problem with the HOSTS.

Don't hold your breath.

Given that things seem to work ok I'd suggest turning error reporting off (which is the preferred way for a live server anyway). Whether we can do that on this box is another matter!

It's gone away for me at the moment - but it did yesterday too.

I did raise a ticket with the hosts last night as I'm pretty sure its a config issue their end - possibly due to an update of PHP on their side. No response yet, apart from the auto-reply, which have yet to be helpful.

Simon, turning off error reporting is not something I can find any setting for - it probably is on the hosts side.

I'm on a train at the moment so the chances of me getting a reliable connection to the server are slim!

Basically we need to add

error_reporting(0);

into one of the scripts that runs on every page - probably the one that does the db connection. I'll try and have a look later.

Should be fixed by out hosts
Thank you for alerting us to this problem, which was caused by a Load Balancer issue on the Shared Linux platform.
