Don't you hate it when people answer their own questions and I can't come along and look all clever :shark:

Many years ago I was given some good advice by a very wily old negotiator which I've always tried to stick to.

It was simply that when entering into a negotiation with someone, always avoid asking a question that you don't already know the answer to!

I do work for people who do that - or at least know enough to know if you are b :poo: ing - long since learnt the best way is to tell the truth - used to drive one of my customers mad (I now work with him!) - as I would be in a meeting and be asked a technical question and would nearly always pause for a bit to make sure that could do what was asked - or not as the case may be. I've not changed and still drive him mad.
