Hi new to this site ....can anyone sort my puzzle out ........fitted new switch on tailgate been wirking fine tiĺ yesterday asked missus to press lock / unlock buttons inside so i could get in boot worked fine .....so came to get in tailgate .....nothing .....but still opens by pressing lock / unlock inside car how do i put tailgate back on central locking mode.........any ideas lads

I think the fact that it works from the dash means the motor is ok - so the chances are its the boot lid switch - but as you have changed it already seems unlikely.

Are you sure the switch is ok - including the wiring?

Afternoon all new hear just joined as a member i posted in the wrong place so i will post here instead have an 05 4.4 HSE great vehicle in the process of getting it ready for off road with winch etc so that me Scarborough based hope to meet some of you at events speaking of which is the club having a stand at this year LRO show. :D

Hi all I am a landrover nut. always had a defender till now thinking about Disco 4 just asked for advise as what to or not what to do re new or recon engine Im 65 years old old enough to know better

I assume that the D4 you are looking at has a blown engine?

If it was me, I'd get a Landrover crated reman'd engine - gets you a 2 year warranty for a start.

Where abouts are you in the country as there are a few places recommended to get it fitted if you aren't doing it yourself.
