I would just like to remind you that you can turn off notifications from within the User Control panel - it is not something that you can ask admin to do on your behalf as it's not a setting available to others to change. (Odd perhaps, but that is how it is!)
To do it, you need to go to the User Control Panel (UCP) which is by the following method (Other ways are possible, but this is possibly the easiest to explain!)
Under your Username at the top right of the board is the UCP - click on your name and it will expand.
Go to Board Preferences and tick the options as appropriate.
Note - The new Calendar feature notifies users of changes (Now it only notifies the changes made to those subscribed to the event) - I'm trying to confirm from the author if is also follows the notification rules
