When my jack nearly fell in hajf the other day I stopped into Kwik Fit, the young lad did the wheel for me all without use of the air gun...I was pleasantly pleased :)
Anyway, we all make the odd cock up and the lads and lasses at Challenger are a good bunch who will endeavour to help out whenever I go in there with one of my "you couldn't just look at my car" issues :thumbright:

When you use a torque wrench after the rattle gun, does the bolt need any further tightening? If not, then you obviously know the bolt could be too tight, if not then all good :thumbright:
I all ways just pinch them up with my battery powered rattle gun so the wheel is suitable for the Land Rover to be lowered to the floor and then go round the wheel nuts and tighten them up to the specified torque for the particular Land Rover I'm Working on
I know some just tighten them up to as tight as there rattle guns will go and then check the torque after so it looks good to the boss/customer who is watching at the time

The Saturday boy comment was mine and was just a gentle ribbing of Olly as I know him.

From my experience of them so far, I can't fault them - look forward to picking up my car next week all done. :thumbright:

My car has been in to challenger the last couple of days after having to get it collected and dropped off by the big green taxi company, it decided to have a hissy fit after going through a load of water, threw up warning lights and into limp mode, 3rd gear,
Challenger think they have solved the problem with a new sensor and hopefully car will be ready for pick up tomorrow. :shark:
