Tree sliders christened on Friday while laning with MLRC - certainly did their job well and appear to be well and truly up to the job!
Obviously when they got battered I took some paint off them, gutted now cos I've got rust showing already now! I thought that GNVP had worked some magic to stop the dreaded rust? Just seems a bit of a faff getting the hammerite out after every laning trip??

They will rust up once the paint is scratched off, bit like brake discs when they are left overnight, the only way to prevent this would be to make them out of stainless steel but that's not cost effective.
There's no scratch resistant coating out there as far as I know.....sorry
If anyone finds anything more durable, let me know. I did consider a plastic coating but that's not really home repairable once scratched.
I just give mine a once over every few months if required.
