Re: Bushranger Jack
As Bushranger have been a bit useless with support, does anybody know what material it is made of so I can attempt a repair myself. I need to know which glue to use for the patch, the repair kit glue I got with it has gone hard.
I am not buying another one, so will give it a go. If I do end up buying another air jack it will be Takla.

Andy, no idea, but if it's the valve, wouldn't you ne worried about your repair giving up on you just after you'd taken a tyre off?

Knowing Andy, he would have a well positioned axle stand in situ!! However, getting the car off the axle stand would be another matter!

Re: Bushranger Jack
I have just bought some 3T axle stands for the brake adjust, as you have to jack it so high to get it off the ground.
The pressure in the airjack is very low and even with the split I can keep the car up in the air if it is attached to the exhaust. I made a huge patch and I reckon it will keep the gas in with little chance of it suddenly letting go. Only things is I am not sure which glue to use, I reckon it is some PVC laminate of some type.

Re: Bushranger Jack
TazDaz was looking into making his own air jack a while back. He reckoned [ISTR] that air jacks were made from the same or a very similar material used to make inflatable boats.
A long shot but might be worth asking John what glue he was going to use.

It's two pot evostick I would imagine Andy, same as used for tubes on RIB's. Give Paul a ring (07760 194 070) at Trafalgar Wharf, (Old Vospers site, Porchester) I'm sure he would stick it on for you if he had a mix on the go..

I am going past there later to pick up the brake bolt. Should I mention your name otherwise he will wonder why on earth somebody is calling him to fix an exhaust jack.
