Re: Bushranger Jack
This is more like very deep shingle stones, I tried in several locations, but the whole car just moved before it even got off the ground.
I gave up and moved to solid ground.

Re: Bushranger Jack
Heard back from Bushranger and they say the jack should NOT be used for changing tyres
I bought it for that.
They are be good about it and although out of warranty they would like to inspect it. I think this must be a safety thing in case of accident. To be honest it does mention it in the datasheet.

Andy
Garry and I were going to try and sell a jack and do a huge group buy. However we ran into issues as none of them say they should be used for tyres- their use is to lift the car to big or use waffle boards.
We o ly wanted ones that they said it was doable. Guess they all are but they are covering their arses.

Lifting a car to change a tyre is the same as lifting it to jam rocks under the tyres...you need to same (maybe even less) height....
I guess they are just covering their arses as changing a tyre means that people would have the car raised for a lot longer than required to just "unstuck" a sunken wheel.
If anything happened to the jack whilst the car is raised, the damage caused by not having a wheel on the hub will be much much worse than having it there...I suppose this is their worry.

If you need it off road in an emergency situation can you really rely on it????
Im afraid to say you pays ya money.......

Andy's got the proper one, the one that Charles has just brought.
I've got the draper one and I've heard the various comments - proof will be when I get round to using it!.
Keep meaning to test it out in the day light but things keep croping up!
