Spose cost would be an issue to get them galvanised?

For Galvanising you need to drill holes in the tubes, and once Powdercoated they need sealing or they rust from the inside out. Decent Powdercoating will suffice.

In fairness to the GNVP boys, there's a fine line between production and quality Powdercoating, its taken a year for the tin worm to show but am I complaining? Nope. Still happy with their quality product and I class it as maintenance.

Looks like I'm the only one who likes the radius bend   In fairness, the thing I didn't like about the original was the untidy welded look - thought it was out of place on the D3. Great on a Deafner, just not a D3. Horses, courses.

Agree with a proper professional powder-coating being mandatory and a slightly wider design would be awesome too IMHO.

Option of a removable aluminium top plate covered with a grip coating to use as a real step when not off-road might pull some punters? Simply remove the top before off roading (6 recessed screws into rivnuts from the top, bobs yer uncle) , and everyone is happy.

I have and prefer the original ones, angled edges and poke out further than a pokey out thing :shark:

I thought about adding tread plates to the top too
