Vinyl semi wrap

Post by 4-Tech » Thu Sep 22, 2011 8:18 am

This is just an idea at the moment.
We have a vinyl plotter that we use to make our signs with. Am probably going to be doing more serious off roading with my own D3 in the near future and was wondering about making some heavy duty vinyl side panels to cover the doors, wings etc and prevent light scratches.
So anyone else interested? Anyone got any design ideas, was thinking along the lines of G4 stuff?

I'd have been interested 3 years ago Gordon, but mine's past worrying about now though  Think you could be onto something though, defo interest out there for G4 stuff as I know a couple of other people do them.
Wraps for bramble rash protection are a good move I think.

Ben would be interested at the right price I would think - might curb the swearing when going back to Wales :rasp:

Hmmm ... depends on the design (how subtle as opposed to garish), as well as the likely cost ...

Having seen a small fleet presence of probably now obsolete designs on your Mini's Ken, I can concur................I would never try wrapping a D3 to acheive a standard of those. If I did try, my D3 would definatley float with the galactic bubbles trapped.

Am thinking about my Sankey though.

Oddly enough I've just flicked on "how it's made" or some other such program where they wrapped a Lotus in a Union Jack.
Damned good it looked too :thumbright:
