Yeah it's not on the cards to drive it back - it's just too far.
The car is about 8k less than I'd be paying here hence the interest.

Still not sure it's worth the risk though!!
Interestingly thoigh, the car is actually sealed in a container with this company, who will give me 10 days to inspect before full payment is required...

Do you know the seller to ensure it is not a scam. I have seen this type of thing pop up before.

Maybe a little research into the company? The list some professional bodies so maybe see if the professional bodies lost them? Also look for online reviews and comments not just the ones on their website.

Make a trip of it!! Went up E side of Finland up to N Norway couple of months ago. Great place for a road trip. Not sure EasyJet would let you take an Oztent as hand luggage though!

I love the idea of it, but 35 hours drive is three days, and finding the time at the moment is a nightmare - Else I would jump at the chance!

My next step is certainly to ring the shipping company, explain the situation and my position, as if they are legit I am sure they will get these queries all the time.
We're still looking locally as well though - Hoping to get a few lined up to look at on Friday.

Oh and wish me luck, I have a trailer test tomorrow!

Short drive down to Turku, overnight ferry to Stockholm then 2 days to Channel. Prob 3 days all in, not sure of flights but you should be able to get a flight from Helsinki to Pori. :thumbright:

I'll be honest, I wouldn't buy it without seeing it. The fact it is locked in a container would make me nervous as they don't tie up containers and the associated space to store it if it is not being shipped.

I would fly out as a minimum or use a local car buying agent. If it is £8K cheaper, shipping wouldn't be that much so a dealer would have snapped it up. If it is a UK car originally then a dealer wouldn't have to worry about it being a import either.

Something is not right to be honest, where did you see it advertised.
