Powerbox 2 from Rimmer
Rimmer Bros has 68% off on Powerbox 2 at the moment, does any one know if they are any good or worth it?

Re: Powerbox 2 from Rimmer
plug in box which usually just increases injector pressure... would rather have a proper remap tbh....

Re: Powerbox 2 from Rimmer
At that price I thought I would give it a go and while I was at it put in a K&N filter. Well chuffed, it's like driving a different car, so responsive now

Re: Powerbox 2 from Rimmer
K&N filters tend to be only good for performance cars - they don;t filter the air properly in my view - I have seen similar evidence supporting it.
Tuning boxes don't protect the engine - a proper remap will do it right and keep with design parameters.

Re: Powerbox 2 from Rimmer
I had a remap done on my V8, when I first got it back I thought it was a lot quicker, then I started to think it just had more power for less throttle but hadn't gained anything at full throttle. Is that more responsive or lazy programming?

Re: Powerbox 2 from Rimmer
All I know is the drives much better than it did and I seem to be getting slightly better mpg. A full on remap is probably better but this was a diy job that I can just unplug if I want
