I’ve got a feeling that ReggieB may have the same Skoda model as his Company car. Think his is diesel and it does a phenomenal mpg on a run.

Also great to hear from you Derek and pleased that you’re still enjoying your retirement!

I am indeed. We lost both our dogs last year (one in May & one in Dec) so taking this chance to do some serious travelling before getting DogGen 3. There’s a lot of world out there to see. :thumbright:

Ian has the 1.5tdi Octavia I think. But yes I think a bad day for him is high 50's to the gallon.

I'll find out more tomorrow when I go to Hatfield.

How’s the motor Mark?
We are a year of so out of LR ownership. I quite miss the Disco and Clare’s Ateca isn’t really any cheaper to run fuel wise (its a 2.0 petrol 4drive) but it hasn’t broken down and nothing has fallen off.
Me...well, my Cupra went back a couple of months ago and I got myself “Boris”
6.2l of German excellence with one owner and only 2850 miles when I picked him up Image

Mine is great Gary :)

Had 6k on the clock when I got it back in April and now has over 22k on it - and I've not done more than 200miles in the last 2.5 weeks as I've been in London.

Work this year has been very busy - the boss landed a big job (~£2M) which I've been involved with more in the last few weeks as it came to completion (Got PC on Wednesday) as i had other jobs I was involved with before then. But there is little chance of the same order book next year as we had this year - but will do our best!

But yes - must catch up in the new year would be good to see you and the bab (Not that he is that anymore!)

Doesn’t look as much fun as the Cupra?

I’m sure it sounds nice but looks a bit big and heavy to be having fun on the public roads in. Probably great on an A road.

It takes a bit more “effort” to drive for sure Stu but handling wise you’d have to be doing very illegal speeds before it gets unwieldy but it’s quite controllable given its rear wheel drive.
It can be a bit of a handful in the wet.
It’s a car to respect as opposed to rag round like a loon all the time and yes, it sounds amazing :)
Never had a V8 before so had to have one before we all get made to drive around in a Renault Twizzy Hhaa
