Great bit of video that, though I think I must be more in the Zaphod Beeblebrox camp as it really holds no fear for me at all.

Now there's a book I haven't read in a decade or two!
Zaphod was the only person to ever survive the Total Perspective Vortex
“Is that it?” said Zaphod in surprise.
“That is it.”
Didn’t look too bad, thought Zaphod.
“And I get in there do I?” said Zaphod.
“You get in there,” said Gargravarr, “and I’m afraid you must do it now.”
“OK, OK,” said Zaphod.
He opened the door of the box and stepped in.
Inside the box he waited.
After five seconds there was a click, and the entire Universe was there in the box with him.”

[The Vortex door opens]
"Hi" said Zaphod.
"Beeblebrox! You're…! "
"Fine, fine. Could I have a drink please?"
"You've been in the Vortex?!"
"You saw me kid."
"And you saw the whole infinity of creation?!"
The lot baby - it's a real neat place you know, heh-heh. "
"And you saw the whole infinity of creation?"
"Sure. Really neat place, you know that?"
Gargravarr's mind was reeling in astonishment. Had his body been with him it would have sat down heavily with its mouth hanging open.

"And you saw yourself," said Gargravarr, "in relation to it all?"
"Oh, yeah yeah."
"But . . . what did you experience?"
Zaphod shrugged smugly. "It just told me what I knew all the time. I'm a really terrific and great guy. Didn't I tell you, baby, I'm Zaphod Beeblebrox!"

I love the hhgttg heard it on radio 4 back in the day. Have it on box set and have all 5 books in the trilogy.

Must admit the size of Betelgeuse surprised me.

But I also hold no fear in terms of our place in the scheme of things.

  I think both companies are pretty close to producing the size of mobile that you could put Don't Panic in big letters on the cover!

I’ve no real plans to change the car anytime soon. Though the bm is small. Still liking the 40mpg average - and nearly 60 on a decent run and @ 65ish. Though that is very tedious
