Re: What have you done today.....
Fitted the exhaust properly today - though I do need to still adjust it for level. Might need another support for the drivers side tip. I’ll have to see later.
Also double checked the cam timing and reckon it’s 1/2-1degree out. Which is good enough as there isn’t that much resolution on the timing wheels. The only way to get it exact is with a vernier pulley. And that ain’t going to happen.
Then did the tappets and fitted the rocker cover and the various pipes from the rocker cover to the carbs. Finally the throttle and choke cables.
Bit buggered for much more until the rest of the bits come.

Re: What have you done today.....
Had to apply for a replacement driving licence - the photo ones only last 10years.
Good thing is you can use your passport photo without having to send any paperwork over.
The bad is it costs £14 (SWMBO still has a paper one which will last until she reaches 70 I think!)
They also say to cut your old one in half and send it back to them - but If I do it now, I don't have a licence to show (Or use for ID which is more relevant) - though it says on the website that you can still drive (Jolly good!)

Re: What have you done today.....
I thought the paper ones were no longer valid? Not sure, as I jumped at the card type early on as it works a treat as ID in the US of A, but that was a long time ago now so I kind of assumed they'd all been replaced by the new ones.
I think I left returning my cut up one till the new one arrived...but in theory now the physical documents are irrelevant as everything important is on the police database so you shouldn't need them anymore.
Do the police still do the "require to show" deal on documents at your local station within 2 weeks if you don't have them with you?

Had my letter today reminding me that my photocard licence is due for renewal early Feb ... another thing for the 'to do' list !anglefire wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2018 6:40 pmHad to apply for a replacement driving licence - the photo ones only last 10years.

Re: What have you done today.....
yep it did involve a hammer stripping and rebuilding a 50t bottom block this morning after deciphering where all the shims and spacers went last night because why would it come with instructions on what goes where

Re: What have you done today.....
Did the passport renewel online today. So much easier now we don't have to persuade a complete(ish) stranger to say it was me in the pic, plus you can take your own pic rather than find a photo booth somewhere that actually works. Vast improvement!! Only down side is the £72.50 price tag.
If only I could think of something useful to type here!!

Re: What have you done today.....
I've taken the pictures for passports for years ours and most of the neighbours!
As long as the size is right, they are fine.
I also took Cassies drivers licence picture - was not a bad shot - less "resting Bitch" face than most passports seem to be!

Re: What have you done today.....
Mine looks like it needs a number board. SWMBO says I should have shaved, but normally I'm travelling scruffy so it'll look perfect. Plus there was a lot of reflection off my specs, that was easy to fix, take off specs. Well I do occasionally use contacts.
