Lower rear hub knuckle bush

Learned ones I'm after some pointers / advice I need to replace the lower bush in the rear hub knuckle. It's been 8 years and many miles since I last did them In that time age has caught up with me and I'm buggered if I can remember the easiest way to access the bush. I'm not fazed by pressing the o...

Re: Warren Pasmore - AKA Waz

This is such tragic news - Warren was a real gentleman who I felt privileged to meet.

I have great memories of him and Phil at Bala

RIP Warren

Re: Slow (front) wipers ... who’s the culprit

Be careful with the scuttle panel - you need to get a tight seal on replacing it especially on the passenger side. If you get a leak there it can run into the pollen filter intake and soak your carpets - with various consequences..... I put a bead of boat window sealant on mine or you can make a def...

Re: Wheel nuts

Same reasons as Mark gives - if the locking nuts seize the're a pig to get off - especially if you're in the back end of nowhere with a flat. I live and park in Liverpool - I work on the basis that if the scallies want the wheels they'll get them regardless. It's the under slung and carrier mounted ...

Re: Wheel nuts

One possible reason is some (myself included) prefer not to use locking wheel nuts so gives options.

I have one locking wheel nut but that's on the spare on the swing out wheel carrier.

Re: Wheel nuts

You could also try LR Parts (lrparts.net) - they are sometimes a little cheaper.

I use them but they are only up the road from me.

Re: To AGM or not to AGM? That is the question

Not sure on the AGM question but a little over 18 months ago I put one of these in my MY05 SE - https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/yuasa/ybx5019/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjrvDzrGn3wIV7ZTtCh0s0Af6EAQYAyABEgLLj_D_BwE It comes with a 5 year warranty and, to date, I've had no problems firing up. I had an Ex...

Re: A blast from the past...

Hi Phil,

We're OK - age is catching up - seems you can't outrun it....

I'll try and put a few more pictures up when I've chance.

Ian - you're right about the cold - lots of brass monkeys looking unhappy that day

Re: A blast from the past...

Hi Phil, i think that probably was your motor - you were probably hiding from the Arctic conditions that day! IIRC the snow didn't seem to stop - but it was fun! I've been digging through an old external HDD I found and there's pictures / videos from some of the D3 days I used to organise at Bala. T...
