Never seen this - Bodsy may have done - but have you tried to reset the XY (I think thats what it is!) sensor - there is a procedure for when the something gets out of sync.

Someone might be along to help!

Nearest place to you that I know is excellent would be JAS landrover who are in York.

If it were me I would change both - I would also consider going back to air - though that wouldn't be a cheap option, depending on what has been ripped out.

Yes they are clipped on - and you will need new ones if they are removed - ie a new cover if changing the windscreen for example.
