What a difference

Post by therealboss » Mon May 05, 2014 1:05 pm

What a difference pulling the caravan between the D2 & the D3, the D2 always done a good job and pull up the steepest hills without an issue but when something big overtook you, you would get pulled to the right.

Took the caravan away for the weekend and on the way there and on the way back, anything that overtook us, did not pull us out to the right like in the D2.

Very happy the way the D3 performed, should have bought one years ago.

They do make good caravan tugs - the long wheelbase helps with the stability (remember, it's a full foot longer than the D2 in this respect).

The wheelbase helps, but the most important thing is the distance between the rear wheels of the towing vehicle and the tow ball, on a D2 this distance was just too great.

Just dropped the tintent off for a service, first time I've towed it with the G4, wow! What a difference over the manual! Effortless in comparison!
