I have a leak

Post by Bodsy » Sun Apr 06, 2014 5:53 pm

I have a small leak, that I know will grow to a very damp problem if it don't fix it.

Question is , what is the most suitable sealant to use? Plumbers gold sealant is great for the sink, but is. There a super special one needed here?
It has been sealed previously, but has now disintegrated, causing the problem of water coming through.
Or at least this is where I am hoping it comes through!

Advice?

The picture is upside down, but looks fine on the iPad.

My tent doesn't leak and if it did I could fold it up, stick it in the boot and check in at a B&B.

Can't believe you've bought a dumper can - you've really let the side down.

You could try using this stuff, works very well as long as you can get between the two surfaces to be sealed.

Well done Stu for working out what it is a picture of, I stared at it a few times but couldn't work out what it was of.

Stu, he's just increased his options :rasp:
Ian, I would ring Bailey or whoever made yours, and find out what they use to assemble them. :thumbright:

Garry, Isn't it a sacred mixture of humming bird spit and rocking horse droppings?

Steve I didn't have a clue what the photo was of, I just assume it was the tintent as that is the thing most likely to be leaking. You wouldn't build a house out of tin foil and expect it to be water tight so why would you expect a caravan to be?
