finaly got to do the rear ARB s that have been driving me nuts for months knocking and bumping over rough ground
tools
jack and stands
22mm to get the wheels off
13mm sockets & spanners (a ratchet 13mm spanner will save a lot of grief)
a long flat blade or a pry bar
lots of wd
thread lock
gloves
firstly when you buy the bushes get the bolts as well as these are not supplied even when you buy the U collar
chock and lift the D3 and make it safe on suitable stands, both rears off the floor
give the bolts a good spray with lube. it is tight to get a socket to the bolts
I found that it was easer to extend the spanner by locking it in to another.... however all the spanner manufactures strongly recommend you don't do this and this trick is why I don't have a 13mm ratchet spanner at the moment
I found due to the build up of muck on the bolts that I had to keep dousing the threads with lube and then driving the bolts back in a couple of turns to clear the thread.
once the bolts are out you can pull the bush toward you pry the U collar off and then separate the rubber
new and old
as the new bushes are a bit tighter than the old ones I found I had to push the U collar on with the pry bar
with the new bolts and a little thread lock fluid reassembly was quite quick and painless.

Re: rear ARB bushes
I gave up doing mine and got a man in - one bolt was a bitch to get to
You make it look easy - I should have tried harder - mind you I have to do front ARB's soon- hopefully that will stop the front rattle.

Nice write up Ben,
@anglefire, Bens bolts probably weren't too cruded up as he not allow to go off roading. sorry Ben.
