End of an era - well sort of.

Post by anglefire » Sat Jan 18, 2014 1:27 pm

My STT's that have had few owners both in Europe and over here, have finally been replaced for some new Rubber thanks to Ken :thumbright:

No idea how many miles they have done - all I know is that they have done the Pyrenees at least 4 times - so the thick end of 20K plus what ever else they did before and during.

Hadn't realised until Ken said, that they were made in 2006, so they have done well.

So now got 6 nice shiney 245/70/17 BFG KM2's :thumbright:

Well, they look cool 8-)

I've not got them on the car - I couldn't be arsed to change the wheels over last night, so I loaded them in the car and took them down for swopping this morning.

I will use them soon though, so I'll give my thoughts then :thumbright:

Great choice. I have the same. I am thinking of keeping them on full time.. You get used to the light humming.

Paul had them a couple of years ago and said they were good - and a lot quieter than the STT's - which didn't seem as noisy last year to be fair - either because the car was overall quieter due to the new engine (Which is a lot quieter than the old one, so very possible) or that they were worn enough to have a reduced howl.

I'm looking forward to trying them :thumbright:
