Post by luvbus » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:02 am

Ken,

Can you do anything on a set of 4 x Kumho KL71 265/70 R17 or Maxxis Bighorn 265/275/70 R17 or 275/65 R18?

Cheers,

Rich

I managed to get one bighorn from Canskill last year. Let us know how you do I thought they had stopped them because of the euro rule that they are too noisey

I take it you have been using the Bighorns. How do you find them?

I like the look of the KL71 but IIRC they are only 2 ply side walls hence the interest in the Bighorns (also not directional).

If I have no joy I will have to look at Cooper STT or BFG KM2's but they seem to be quite a step up price wise in the larger sizes especially for occasional off-road use.

Cheers,

Rich
