Crack, is this something to worry about?

Post by therealboss » Sat May 03, 2014 9:31 pm

Away in the caravan for the first time this year and SWMBO has found a crack in the inner wall, should I be worried?

I would say that someone who knows these things, needs to look at it - doesn't look good TBH

The caravan has not had a bang and the outer skin (Front panel) is fine, the caravan is a Bailey Carolina 2007.

I'd say that's not good....

Possible damp on the inner has stretched it, may have dried out now. It's at the front, so in the front compartment, can you see any evidence of damp or water?

We have the Carolina 2006 - twin axle job - and I **think** we have a very small crack about there, in ours it is where two boards join. Could be the same - flexing perhaps?

First thing to do is get the use of a damp metre and sample the area around the crack.

Well I guess you could have reversed your can through a wall but in both cases that would be user error.
