Braking vibration. D3

Post by hangman3 » Mon Jun 10, 2019 11:59 am

I am recently getting some vibration under high speed braking on my D3.
When I had this on my D2, it was down to the caliper sliders on the front needing some lube. I dont notice it with local rural driving but it was very apparent when I was on the motorway to London the other week. Can the vibration only be felt if it is the front sliders, or can it be felt from the back ones too. The reason I ask is because I had cleaned the wheels befor my journey (face & backs), but now the rear O/S wheel has a lot more brake dust on it than the others.

I had a very dusty NS rear wheel which was getting hot - turned out to be a sticking Caliper PIston - after I replaced it I got 3mpg more!
