You really need to get your codes read.

It could be several things. No particular order.

Intercooler split
Intercooler hose split
Hpfp faulty
Map sensor.
And a load more!

I have similar power problem and I am stumped as to what may be the cause of it, I have blanked off EGR valves and have done the actuator freeing up thing, changed battery and had diagnostics ran on it, but still no power fed up of old ladies overtaking me on dual carriageway it's from pulling away to getting up to full speed which it does getvto eventually, going down hill it does improve, my next thought is either map sensor or a hose that may be split somewhere, but I have no leaks anywhere, anybody who has had the same problem and managed to fix it could you please reply to me on here and my email as I work away internationally and sometimes only get online at limited times, and I refuse to pay the price dealers charge to rip you off, oh and also changed steering sensor which fixed problem of lowered suspension all the time if that helps anybody out there, easy job bout an hour and it was changed go one online for fifty quid.

Obviously the lists above are still valid, but would you say that the car is fine to start with whilst cold, but slowly gets worse under normal driving conditions and gets worse more quickly when towing/driving up steep hills/spirited driving?

You may simply have a clogged inter-cooler - the car tries to protect the engine by reducing power when the intake air temperature gets too high. It can be a real mare to clean as it takes lots of water and pressure washers are out as they bend all the cooling fins over which prevents any airflow anyway.

If you can get the OBD codes read there are codes to confirm this, or codes that will point towards any of the other issues previously mentioned
