Many things - Mostly Cold!

Post by spotter » Tue Jan 03, 2017 7:27 am

Hiya, Happy New Year!

Not been on here for a while as life has been progressing peacefully.......however having car issue again after several years of faultless service(!)

I did my usual take car from dealer just before Christmas and embark on in-law trip into wildest depths of darkest France. Have just had new Turbo fitted and then straight back in for full suite of injectors.

However it soon became clear that while the engine started well now a few other issues were about:

- Webasto not working (and pipe appears to be disconnected at the front of it?)
- No washers at all; headlamp, front or rear - fun on a salty autoroute
- No heated washer nozzles (not actually an issue with nothing else working!)
- No heat in the cabin! (have seen from another post that this may be a motor blender or ECU?)

So we are back now but before I contact dealer was wondering whether there was a theme with so many things failing all together - and all on the left side of the bonnet area? All fuses are fine.

Needs to be fixed as with temperatures well below zero car takes an age to warm up and now have two family members with a cold due to long trip in eth car with no heat.

many thanks

S

Sorry I forgot to come to over and read your codes, work got very hectic.

Happy to read the codes and take a look. this week should be less busy before business starts again properly.

:-)

No problem Andy, it spent most of that time in the dealers!! the kids did like the Hybrid TV in the loan car though. I will give you a call as it has me stumped as accorded to my BAS box thing there are no fault codes (which I have never seen before!)

Cheers

I can read all the codes, the BAS box only does engine unfortunately.

We can even fire up the FBH independently to test it. Once the pipe is attached !!!!

how long after the turbo install did all the other things fail, I guess the washers could be the washer pump motor as ISTR they are common for the rear screen and the head lights

First long trip. First use colder than 4 degrees and first time needed windscreen washers since it was in. All working previously. It was the ehgine giving hassle! (7 A4 sheets of fault codes the dealer printed out)

Car came out of dealers. Been to work once and towed a boat trailer to Poole and back then back in to have trim reattached again and check over and then to France over Christmas.
