That's where the pins came from Ben, but they really need a special crimping tool- they are designed to be automatically crimped in a continous belt by machine.

I know you shouldn't, but solder them if you need to get it working. Then put silicon grease over it.

Andy I've spliced in a bit more cable with some crimps. Not ideal but good enough till I do it properly.

Rang up the Stratstones this afternoon, and they had a repair kit in stock - so bought one - can't be arsed to faff around! £23+VAT - so less than ebay
