Hey, I'm with that chap  My days of sleeping rough are over. I had enough of trying to get dressed in the rain/mist/cold etc and I also have a pathological hate of hotels whose proprietors seem to dislike my children, my dogs, me carrying a shotgun (shooting events) etc. Fookemall, I'll clog up the roads with me Tintent instead. :rasp:

Off to France with it in 10 days time, canna wait. Nice smelly cheese, vino collapso and a well earned rest, inside my own space without fear of upsetting other guests etc. Breakfast when I want it, not when some fascist hotelier tells me to have it, beer and wine at supermarket prices, not Dick Turpin style hotel bar prices etc.

Caravans might be bad but the end result is well worth the stigma attached to them, IMHO.

When I was searching for a suitable Darth Vader/caravan pic (unsuccessfully) I did find a few sites that extolled the virtues of charging tintents road tax. Not a bad idea perhaps!! Now how does one set up a Gvt Petition thingie??

Ok, then you'd have to charge for trailers and any other towed item too.............

Aint buying now a bad time to buy. I know deals are to be had, but there must be better deals in the Winter (outta season). I certainly have more camping gear to get and as I aint using it all again till next Spring/Summer I will wait till Oct onwards to buy.

Just my twopenneth really.

Ps, I love tintents, keep me highly amused when I was driving LGV's, seeing if my windrush could keep the drivers awake
